Dave Long

I live the majority of the year in Massachusetts, splitting my time between the Boston area and Cape Cod. I have been working professionally as a landscape photographer for the last ten years and travel extensively throughout New England teaching landscape photography through my workshops and tours, my twelve e-books, camera club presentations, landscape blogs and postings to my large social media community.

I was recently named one of the Top 8 New England Landscape Photographers by Peerless Magazine and my work has been featured by Outdoor Photographer, The Boston Globe, Newport Life, Cape Cod Magazine, and Boston Voyager. I am a frequent guest speaker on national landscape photography podcasts and at New England camera clubs. My work can also be seen on many calendars including The Light of New England, Maine Life and Vermont Living as well as advertising done on VisitMA, the official advertising site for the state of Massachusetts.

Don Metz

I am a landscape and wildlife photographer based out of Denver. My approach to photography reflects my belief that a strong connection to nature is essential for human existence. In a time where civilization incessantly encroaches on our wildernesses and we struggle to defend our natural treasures I believe that capturing and sharing compelling images is an important enticement to ensure these lands are preserved for future generations.

We have a moral obligation to be responsible stewards of this planet and I hope my photography inspires people to conserve and protect our natural treasures and to encourage people to experience it for themselves.

Rob Strain

Rob Strain's love affair with light and form began when he was given a camera and darkroom equipment as an early teen. Since then he has been published in many magazines, written the e-book How to Photograph Sand Dunes of the American Southwest and he now writes the Photoboomers newsletter, with the objective to "Enhance the Better Half of Life Through Photography". Rob is also available for private and small group custom workshops as well as serving as a guide in many locations.

His portfolio reflects influences or Ansel Adams' tone system and the challenges of tooth shades as an Accredited Cosmetic Dentist. The play of light and reflected color are a dominant themes. The golden proportion as seen in works of Renaissance masters help define "beauty" and certainly affect his eye for a scene. The discovery of a metaphorical scene makes his day! When light, compositions and metaphors happen at once, the results become magical.

Tim Wier

To me, photography is a combination of art, energy, and adventure and allows me to share some of the beautiful places God has created.

As my passion for landscape photography has grown through the years, I realized how time-consuming and sometimes frustrating it can be to find detailed information about the locations I want to shoot. I’ve spent hours—even days—researching GPS coordinates, directions, trails, weather, and more to determine if a location was right for me. I realized the need for a trusted, informative, one-stop resource for all the information I would need to plan a shoot at a particular location for photographers like me. And 150+ locations and counting, here we are!
